- A phone number. There is not one on this site at the moment. When there is, it will be a tracked line and this page will say what happens when you ring it.

The phone, and whether it is recorded
No number is published here yet, so there is nothing to ring, nothing to log and no recording of anything. What follows about what gets kept is all about the form.
A tracked line is being set up. When it appears it will be recorded, it will say so out loud at the start of every call before anything else happens, and this paragraph will change to describe exactly what the recording is. New York allows a call to be recorded when one party consents and would not require that announcement; it gets made regardless.
Where this covers
The Town of Oyster Bay, all of it, from the Sound shoreline in the north to the bays in the south. That includes the hamlets whose names have nothing to do with Oyster Bay: Hicksville, Syosset, Massapequa, Plainview, Bethpage, Jericho and the rest of them. Five hamlets have pages of their own and the other addresses in the Town are covered the same way.

Things this page cannot do for you
It is not an emergency line. If water is live in the house and you are standing in it, the shut-off valve and the utility come before any website. The published federal guidance is not to touch electrical equipment that is wet, or that you would have to stand in water to reach, and to cut the power only if that can be done safely (FEMA, Ready.gov, checked 2026-08-31).
